Provide global artifact types and attributes
A Project Tracker domain administrator can create artifact types and attributes that
are available to projects across the whole site. These are called global artifacts and global
attributes.
- Define a global artifact type
When you define a global artifact type, all tracker administrators on the site can make that artifact type available for their project members to work with.
- Remove a global artifact type
When a global artifact type becomes obsolete, you may want to make it unavailable for addition to projects.
- Define a global attribute
When you configure global attributes, all tracker administrators on your site can enable their project members to use those attributes.
- Delete a global attribute
When a global attribute has outlived its usefulness, it's a good idea to delete it so it won't be used in projects on your site.
- Modify a global attribute
As conditions change, you may need to change what an attribute does, or the options it offers.
- Define a global user attribute
When you define a global user attribute, that attribute is available for all tracker admins on your site to offer their project members.
- Define a global query
When you create a query for the whole site (a global query), users in any project on the site can select that query and run it.
- Define global project defaults
When new projects are created, their default behavior is defined by the site administrator. Project managers can then modify some of those settings.
