When you create a query for the whole site (a global query), users in any project
on the site can select that query and run it.
-
Go to the Project Tracker administration page.
-
Click Admin in the CollabNet
TeamForge navigation
bar.
-
On the site administration navigation bar, click Integrated
App.
-
Select Project Tracker and click
Configure.
-
On the Project Tracker configuration page, click
.
-
Select the artifact types you want this query to search, and click
Add Selected.
Tip: To save this list of artifact types for future use,
click the Save This Query button in the
Artifact Types Selected section.
-
Select one global artifact type, "Defect" to use in
creating the global query.
You can specify additional query criteria, such as a date range,
particular users associated with an artifact, and so on. Query
criteria include:
- Artifact ID
- Personnel associations (This works with "user" queries)
- Attribute value change
Note: User associations in the artifact type are displayed with the
possible selections of "has users associated"
or "does not have users associated." You may
also leave this criteria unselected and not used in defining the
query. (Only with a "user" query)
-
Click Define query.
From this page, you can enter one or more of the following query criteria:
- In the Artifact Info section, you can enter both artifact IDs and date
ranges. If the Artifact Info section is left blank, all artifacts of
the designated type or types are returned in the query results.
- In the Artifact Changes section, you can enter a date or a date range in
which the artifact was (or was not) modified.
- If your global query uses multiple artifact types, in the Common
Attributes section, you can enter text strings or select artifact
values from a list. For example, for a Status attribute, you might
select the value of Open.
- In the query creation page, define the global query. This includes
setting the display preferences (number of arifacts per page, display
format, and so on) for the query results.
- You can add/remove columns through add/remove columns screen.
