Configure the Quality Center - Project Tracker connector

Use the Eclipse GUI to create your connector landscape, map source and target projects and fields, and edit connector properties and log settings.

Follow these steps whether you're using CollabNet Enterprise Edition Project Tracker or Project Tracker as an integrated application in TeamForge.
  1. Add a Quality Center - Project Tracker connector landscape
    Set up your connector synchronization scenario by adding a new landscape in the CCF perspectve.
  2. Secure passwords
    To secure the passwords used to access the connector database and source and target systems, you can choose to store them in an obfuscated format.
  3. Configure Quality Center - Project Tracker connector properties
    To configure the Quality Center connector To Project Tracker, specify system details and user credentials in your CCF, Quality Center and Project Tracker Properties screens.
  4. Set up project mappings for the Quality Center - Project Tracker connector
    For your source and target systems, map attributes such as project names, and system and repository IDs.
  5. Configure a proxy server for the Quality Center - Project Tracker connector
    To use a proxy server in your connector setup, you need to provide the server details in the config.xml file for the Quality Center - Project Tracker connector, or the .conf files for the Quality Center - TeamForge connector.
  6. Define field mappings for the Quality Center - Project Tracker connector
    To specify how artifacts are transformed from the source to target system, you need to set up data mapping rules in an XSLT file. CCF lets you do this graphically or with an editor, and you can switch between the two at any time.
  7. Specify log and email settings
    To receive error notifications, edit email and host details and activate the appender in the log4j.xml file.
