As an administrator, you can create and manage snapshots for ESXi guest nodes.
What is a snapshot in Lab Management?
A snapshot represents the state of a virtual machine at the time it was taken. It includes the files of the virtual machine's guest operating system, and the settings and configuration of the virtual machine and its virtual hardware.
Create a snapshot
Snapshots could be useful when you are testing something with unknown or potentially harmful effects. However, keep in mind that they are not meant to be a robust method for backup and recovery.
Delete a snapshot
A snapshot is stored as a set of files in the same directory as other files that comprise the virtual machine and can take up as much disk space as the virtual machine itself. The amount of disk space used increases with multiple snapshots. When an ESXi guest has a number of snapshots, you may want to delete the ones that are no longer useful in order to free up disc space.
