Associate a tracker artifact with TestLink (Manual)

When test suites and test cases are created directly from TestLink and not via TeamForge, you can still associate them with the relevant TeamForge requirement or defect tracker artifacts manually.

  1. In TeamForge, open the requirement or defect tracker artifact and click the Association tab.
  2. Click Add.
  3. On the Add Association page, enter the Item ID of the test case or test suite you want to associate with. The Item ID must have the prefixes you configured while adding TestLink to your TeamForge project.

    For example, if the test case ID was "Test case-1" and the TeamForge prefix you had configured was "CTFMAS", then the Item ID will be "CTFMAS_Test case-1".

    Similarly, if the test suite ID was "Test suite1:22", then the Item ID will be "CTFMAS_Test suite1:22".
    Note: Right-clicking the test suite you had created in TestLink gives you the test suite ID.
  4. Click Next.
    Note: If you fail to enter the exact ID, you will not be allowed to proceed until you enter the correct value.
  5. Click the required button.
    • Click Finish if you do not have any further associations to add.
    • Click Finish and Add Another if you need to add some more associations.
  6. The specified test cases and test suite associations are added to the relevant tracker artifacts.
