Configure TeamForge tracker - Quality Center connector properties

To configure the Quality Center connector to TeamForge, specify system details and user credentials in your CCF, Quality Center and TeamForge Properties screens.

The values referenced by the config.xml files are stored in the .properties files located in the same directory.

For TeamForge tracker and Quality Center, the properties are stored here:

Note: You will be asked to enter passwords for accessing TeamForge and Quality Center. In CCF 1.4.2, you have the option to obfuscate passwords. If you selected this, passwords will be prefixed with "OBF:" in the .properties files.
Note: In CCF 1.5.1 (and later versions), you no longer need a Resync user account (ccf438).
  1. Configure CCF Properties.
    1. Click Test Connection to test the connection to the central CCF database.
Note: If the database is local, you will not need to change the default settings. If you have installed CCF on a different server, you need to specify the remote host name and then test the connection settings.
    2. Edit the CCF hosts section only if you use JMX monitoring. For JMX monitoring, replace http://localhost in the CCF-specific settings with the qualified hostname of the CCF server.
    3. If you need additional information about quarantined artifacts in the log messages, edit the defaults template by adding hospital table columns.
  2. Configure TeamForge Properties.
    1. Enter the URL of the TeamForge site. For example, http://myforge.mycompany.net.
    2. Specify the timezone and maximum size for attachments.
    3. Specify the connector username and password.
Note: This refers to the exclusive connector user in TeamForge, who has the requisite permissions to access (read/write) the tracker involved in the mapping. It is important that no other user be allowed to log into the system with the connector user's username and modify this tracker's artifacts.
  3. Set up similar details for Quality Center in QC Properties.
    1. Enter the URL of the Quality Center server. For example, http://1.2.3.4:8080/qcbin.
    2. Specify the timezone and maximum size for attachments.
    3. Specify the Quality Center username and password.
