What is a document?
For CollabNet TeamForge purposes, a document is any file that you track with a document artifact.

Create a document folder
Document folders, like file directories, allow you to organize your documents in a logical, hierarchical manner using labels that are meaningful to you and your organization.

Create a document
To create a document in TeamForge, you upload a file onto a Documents folder.

Download a document
When you want to work on a document on your local system, or using a specific application, you can download it from your TeamForge site.

Edit a document
While editing a document, you can update its data and associate it with other TeamForge items.

Work with Microsoft Office documents
You can work with a Microsoft Office file in its native application and later upload it to TeamForge. Browse and edit the document offline and synchronize it with your TeamForge server when connected. On synchronization, the document is automatically versioned.

Export a document folder tree
To capture the properties of a TeamForge document folder tree, you can export the tree to a CSV or Microsoft Excel file.

Change the active document version
You can specify which version of a document is the active version at any time.
