Software requirements for CollabNet TeamForge 8.0

This is the official list of software tested for compatibility with CollabNet TeamForge 8.0.

Important announcements:
Starting TeamForge 8.0:
  • TeamForge integration with Sonatype Nexus (2.9.0 or later) is supported.
  • Safari 6.0.5 (8536.30.1) is supported.
  • 32 bit OS platforms are not supported. However, TeamForge 8.0 is tested for compatibility with 32 bit RHEL/CentOS 6.6 to support 32 bit RHEL/CentOS 6.6 customers who upgrade to TeamForge 8.0.
  • SOAP4.x APIs are not supported.
  • SOAP44 and SOAP43 APIs are removed.

  • PostgreSQL upgraded to 9.3.6.
  • JDK upgraded to 1.7.0_71.
  • SVN upgraded to 1.8.13.
  • Review Board upgraded to 2.0.11.

CollabNet TeamForge 8.0 is tested for compatibility with Safari 6.0.5 (8536.30.1).

CollabNet TeamForge 8.0 on VMware and ESXi

The CollabNet TeamForge 8.0 is tested for compatibility with VMware Player 5.0 or later. For Windows and Linux versions supported by VMware Player 5.0 or later, see VMware Player Documentation.

The CollabNet TeamForge 8.0 is tested for compatibility with ESXi 5.1 or later.

* TeamForge 8.0 supports RHEL/CentOS 7.0. However, it also supports RHEL/CentOS 6.6 if you choose to upgrade on the same server that runs RHEL/CentOS 6.6.
1 Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers must have access to the Red Hat Network or equivalent (satellite server, spacewalk, or RHN proxy).
2 SUSE Linux Enterprise Server must be registered with Novell.
3 PGTurant tool is available for quick pg_upgrade. See Upgrade PostgreSQL using PGTurant for more information.

5 For larger installs, the max JVM heap size should be increased to 1024MB (or larger), depending on available resources on the server.
6 Black Duck Code Sight 2.1.3 tested with PostgreSQL 9.3.6 only. Black Duck Code Sight with Oracle was not tested.
Important: Black Duck Code Sight has no support for RHEL/CentOS 7.0. CollabNet recommends that you install or upgrade Black Duck Code Sight on a separate RHEL/CentOS 6.6 server if you choose to install or upgrade TeamForge 8.0 on a RHEL/CentOS 7.0 server.

8 GIT integration works only with PostgreSQL. The Git integration will use PostgreSQL even if your TeamForge site uses Oracle.
9 Perforce 2014 integration with TeamForge 8.0 is not supported in RHEL/CentOS 7.0.
Important: Perforce integration with TeamForge 8.0 can happen only in RHEL/CentOS 6.x. CollabNet recommends RHEL/CentOS 6.6 if you want Perforce-TeamForge 8.0 integration.
