Associate test suite and defects (Automatic)

When you fail a test case in TestLink, a defect tracker artifact is added to the associated defect tracker in TeamForge.

When the same test case fails again in the subsequent test case execution, the existing defect tracker artifact is either updated or a new one is created, depending on the following scenarios:
Scenarios Defect tracker artifact create / update
Same build and test plan Updates existing artifact
Different build, same test plan Updates existing artifact
Same build, different test plan Creates a new defect artifact
Different build, different test plan Creates a new defect artifact
  1. On the TeamForge page, click Trackers in the project navigation bar.
  2. Click the defect tracker that you had created for the specific project. The Artifacts section of the defect tracker displays an entry marking the failed status of the test case executed.

  1. Click the defect tracker artifact and click the Associations tab. A new defect tracker artifact association link appears in the Associations tab. You can navigate to the relevant test case page in TestLink by clicking the defect tracker artifact association link.
The association entry contains the prefixes you configured while adding TestLink to your TeamForge project. The following illustration explains the format and components of an association entry for a defect tracker artifact:
