Added features in SourceForge Enterprise Edition 4.2

SourceForge Enterprise Edition 4.2 introduces the following expanded functionality:

Subversion support
Added support for integrating Subversion SCM servers with SourceForge.
High availability-ready SourceForge
Added support for high availability-ready SourceForge. For instructions on configuring two SourceForge installations for failover purposes, see the SourceForge Enterprise Edition 4.2 Installation and Administration Guide.
Task Manager 5-day and 7-day calendar support
Added support for configurable 5-day or 7-day task calendars. 5-day calendars count only Monday through Friday as work days. 7-day calendars also count Saturday and Sunday. The selected calendar determines whether a task can be assigned a start or end date on a weekend.
Linked Applications
Linked applications are external applications or URLs that you can make available from within your SourceForge project. Creating linked applications allows you to incorporate any web-based application or website into your SourceForge project. These can include the following types of applications:
  • Third party applications
  • Internally developed applications
  • Integrations developed using the SourceForge SOAP APIs
  • Company intranet sites
  • External websites
After creating a linked application, a button is added to your project navigation bar. Clicking the button displays the linked application in the main SourceForge project window.
Expanded API calls
Expanded the SourceForge API to add support for new functionality introduced in SourceForge Enterprise Edition 4.2, plus expanded support for previously existing functionality. Updates include the following:
  • Associations
  • Document Reviews
  • Task 5-day and 7-day calendars
  • Moving items
All new and changed calls are detailed in the SourceForge Enterprise Edition 4.2 Developer Guide. API backwards compatibility is also detailed in the Developer Guide.
