SourceForge Enterprise Edition 4.1 Service Pack 2 introduces the following expanded functionality
API enhancements | Added a number of API calls to expand SourceForge integration capabilities. The list of new API calls is included in the Corrections to User Documentation: Developer Guide section of this document. |
SourceForge 3.x to 4.1 migration capability (Professional Services) | Added the ability to import XML-format data into SourceForge Enterprise Edition 4.1. This capability is provided only by VA Software Professional Services in support of the migration of SourceForge Enterprise Edition 3.x data to SourceForge Enterprise Edition 4.1. VA Software Professional Services will export 3.x data into an XML file, which they then import into 4.1 using this XML import feature. For additional information on migrating your SourceForge data, contact your VA Software account representative. |
Service Pack rollback capability | Added the ability to uninstall, or "roll back," the application of a SourceForge Service Pack. |
Performance enhancements | Implemented a number of enhancements to increase SourceForge performance and scalability. |
Additional single-select tracker fields | Increased the number of available user-defined, single-select tracker fields from 8 to 18. Increased the number of available user-defined, text entry tracker fields from 8 to 12. |
CVS 32-group issue | Enhanced SourceForge gated community and public project access to minimize the likelihood of users from encountering a known RedHat / CVS issue limiting CVS access for users with access to 32 or more repositories. |
Commenting on self-created tracker artifacts | Implemented an enhancement to allow users to comment on or add attachments to tracker artifacts that they have created, even if they have only the tracker create permission and not the tracker edit permission. |
