The following issues are known to exist in this release.
- Document folders are displayed chronologically after Fusion migration
- In SourceForge Enterprise Fusion, document folders were always displayed
alphabetically. In SourceForge Enterprise Edition 4.1, you now have the option
of reordering your document folders alphabetically, in the order in which they
were created, or in an order of your choosing.
If your organization migrates
from SourceForge Enterprise Fusion to SourceForge Enterprise Edition 4.1,
your document folders will be reordered and displayed in chronological
order. If you want to realphebetize them, choose the Reorder Subfolders
option from your Document Edit menu.
- Erroneous notification message when a SourceForge Administrator changes a user's
email address
- When a SourceForge administrator changes a user's email address, a confirmation
message is generated stating that an email notification will be sent to confirm
the address change. However, no email notification is actually sent.
- Must reset toolbar manually after uninstalling Microsoft add-in
- If you uninstall the SourceForge Task Manager Add-in for Microsoft Project or
the SourceForge Document Manager Add-in for Microsoft Office, you must reset the
menu bar manually in your Microsoft Office application to remove the SourceForge
options from your File menus. To reset your menu bar manually, select Customize
from the Tools menu of your Microsoft application. On the Toolbars tab, check
Menu Bar, then click Reset. You must repeat this process for each Microsoft
application that used the add-in.This is a known Microsoft issue. To view the
latest discussion, see:http://msdn.microsoft.com/office/understanding/officesystem/articles/default.aspx?pull=/library/en-us/dno2k3ta/html/odc_ofcmdbarbest.asp#odc_ofcmdbarbest_addingcommandbarsandmenuitems
- Must add columns to Microsoft Project to view imported hours
- When using the SourceForge Task Manager Add-in for Microsoft Project, the
SourceForge fields "Estimated Hours" and "Actual Hours" are mapped to the
Microsoft Project fields "Number 19" and "Number 20" respectively. To export
hours data to SourceForge, you first must add and populate these fields in
Microsoft Project. You also must add these fields manually in Microsoft Project
to view any hours data that is exported from the SourceForge task manager.
- Hours exported from Microsoft Project are rounded
- The SourceForge task manager fields "Estimated Hours" and "Actual Hours" allow
integers only. When using the SourceForge Task Manager Add-in for Microsoft
Project, the corresponding Microsoft Project fields "Number 19" and "Number 20"
are "float" fields that allow decimals. If you export decimal numbers from
Microsoft Project to SourceForge, they will be rounded to integers.
- Unassigned Microsoft Project tasks not governed by RBAC
- When using the SourceForge Task Manager Add-in for Microsoft Project to export
tasks to SourceForge, you are prompted to select a SourceForge resource to whom
to assign any unassigned tasks. This task assignment is not governed by
role-based access control, and you are able to assign tasks to users without
task permissions. If you assign a task to a user who does not have permission to
view tasks, he or she will not receive an email notification and will not be
able to access the task.
- Microsoft Project 2003 incompatible with Microsoft Office add-in
- The SourceForge Task Manager Add-in for Microsoft Project supports Microsoft
Project 2000, 2002, and 2003. However, the SourceForge Document Manager Add-in
for Microsoft Office supports only Microsoft Project 2002. If you are running
Microsoft Project 2003 and install both add-ins, the Save to SourceForge and
Open from SourceForge commands will not appear in your Microsoft Project File
menu.
