Highlights of CollabNet TeamForge 5.2

Here are some things you may want to know about the differences between CollabNet TeamForge and earlier versions of the product.

SourceForge is now TeamForge.
CollabNet SourceForge Enterprise is now known as CollabNet TeamForge (CTF). This is a fresh designation with a major focus on team work and continuous collaboration.
Repository owners can give users access to specific paths in a repository.
TeamForge 5.2 incorporates new path-based Subversion permissions to provide project administrators with the ability to control project member permissions at the folder level within a repository.
Hudson is easily accessible from inside TeamForge.
TeamForge 5.2 allows quick access to Hudson build services through the “Build & Test” button provided on the project toolbar.
Discussion owners can add prefixes and footers for easy recognition of discussion post topics.
TeamForge 5.2 introduces new discussion post enhancements to more easily identify, organize and get more information about topics being discussed.
Discussion owners can moderate (approve and reject) discussion posts.
Ability to monitor inbound discussion posts to enable project owners to open their discussions to a wider audience, without having to worry about nefarious posts.
Project owners can add new members to projects more easily.
TeamForge 5.2 improves the project administrator user experience by reducing the number of clicks/screens required to add members to a project.
Project owners can hide or show project tools based on user role permissions.
Project tools are displayed based on a user’s role/permissions. Tools which a user does not have the permission to access are no longer displayed.
Project owners can hide or show project tools based on utility.
The project administrator can remove tools from the project toolbar in instances when a particular tool is not used on a project.
Users' tracking screens give more detailed information.
TeamForge 5.2 makes a distinction between direct and indirect project memberships on the My Workspace section. The Dashboard page only shows projects in which the user is a direct member, and the Monitoring page provides an option to monitor the projects in which the user has direct membership or all projects on the site.
ViewVC features are updated.
TeamForge 5.2 introduces enhancements to ViewVC (“Source Code” in the project tool bar) in order to enhance the usability of the ViewVC interface.
