Integrated applications: Plug a separate application into TeamForge

When you integrate an external application into your CollabNet TeamForge site, your site's project administrators can choose to include the integrated application alongside the built-in tools in their projects.

You enable the application to be tightly coupled into TeamForge by describing it in two special XML files that you upload to your site:

A deployment configuration file that contains the data that the application needs to interact with the TeamForge site.
An application configuration file that contains the text that the application displays in the TeamForge user interface.

When you have integrated the application, project administrators on your site can add it to their set of collaboration tools. Objects they create in the integrated application will share the core TeamForge features, such as authorization, authentication, go-urls, association, linkification, templating, Project Page components, search, and source code management support.

The ability to integrate external applications relies on a framework called the Integrated Application Framework (IAF).
