How do I disable basic HTTP authentication?

In order to allow users to authenticate with basic HTTP auth, which helps them use RSS readers, Java Web Start, and other web clients that are not web browsers, follow the steps below.

  1. Log in as a Domain Administrator.
  2. Click the Administration tab.
  3. Click the Domain link in the left navigation pane.
  4. Select the Allow basic HTTP auth checkbox in the Access policy.
  5. Click the Save settings button
