What should I back up when backing up JBoss?

The CollabNet TeamForge application server stores all files uploaded into CollabNet TeamForge on the file system.

Stored files include:

• Files uploaded into the File Release System.
• Documents uploaded into the Document Manager.
• Any other files that are attached to tracker artifacts or discussion forum posts.

The search indices, which are used to provide search results, are also stored on the file system.

To comprehensively back up all CollabNet TeamForge -stored data present on the server, you should back up the <SOURCEFORGE_VAR_DIR>. By default, this is under <install_dir>/var.

If you would like to back up the CollabNet TeamForge logs, you should also back up the < ;SOURCEFORGE_LOG_DIR>. By default, this is under <install_dir>/log. This directory stores the following logs:

• jboss_console.log
• server.log
• vaexternalintegration.log
• vamessages.log
• vadaemon.log
