What is the Working Copy Explorer?

The Working Copy Explorer lets you work with the files and folders in your local copy of the repository, within Visual Studio. This includes items that are not part of your project or solution.

In the Working Copy Explorer, you can:

• View the version control status of your files and folders
• Double-click on an item to open it in the task pane
• Right-click on an item and use the same version control command options as in the Solution Explorer
