Get CollabNet SourceForge Enterprise 5.1

Download the software you need to install and set up CollabNet SourceForge Enterprise 5.1.

Note: If you are setting up a CollabNet SourceForge Enterprise 5.1 on a network that is not connected to the Internet, see Install SourceForge 5.1 behind a firewall.
  1. Create the directory to contain the installation package, and switch to it.
    • mkdir /usr/local/csfe-install
    • cd /usr/local/csfe-install
Tip: For convenience, we recommend placing all install and upgrade packages in a directory next to where you will install the application. For example, if you plan to use the default path for the application (/usr/local/sourceforge), put your installer packages in /usr/local/csfe-install.
  2. Download the SourceForge installer from the location provided by your CollabNet representative.
  3. Unpack the install package.
    • tar xzvf csfe-install-5.1.0.0.126.i386-redhat-5.tar.gz
The installation source directory is created, with the same name as the download package. For example, /usr/local/csfe-install/csfe-install-5.1.0.0.126.i386-redhat-5
Note: We will refer to this directory as <installation_source>.
If your source control service is running on a separate physical server, repeat this procedure on that server.
