Connect using a proxy

The Desktop uses Internet Explorer's proxy settings by default. You can override this and configure your own proxy settings.

The Desktop relies on the automatic proxy configuration of the .NET 2.0 framework which shares registry settings with Internet Explorer. If a proxy is defined through Internet Explorer, it is used, even if you don't specify one.

Select File > Options > Add-Ins and click Add-In Options.
In the CollabNet tab, click Connection Settings.
To ignore proxy settings, even if defined through Internet Explorer, select Bypass proxy for CollabNet Desktop connections.
To configure your proxy settings, select Static proxy.
1. Enter the proxy address and port. For example, "https://1.2.3.4", if your server is secure.
2. If your proxy server requires authentication, supply your credentials and URL for the server.
3. Select Bypass on local if you do not want the proxy server to be used when you connect to a computer on your local network.
4. Click OK.
Click OK.
